Hear Black Polish’s New Single “BE WITH YOU”

Black Polish, the project of singer-songwriter Jayden Binnix, has released their official BMG debut single, “BE WITH YOU.” Mixed by Damian Taylor (Björk, Arcade Fire), the song is about how “seeking comfort in denial can only last for so long.” “We yearn for each other for opposite, selfish, and destructive reasons,” Binnix adds. “This one night stand has led to war, and I don’t even wanna be with you.” In 2024, Black Polish released their debut album, Forest, which pulled from influences like Fleetwood Mac and Nicki Minaj, showcasing exactly why Binnix is among the most impressive rising stars in the alt-indie scene right now.

“BE WITH YOU” adds to a gloss to the mix, as Black Polish pairs a big, anthemic, wailing chorus with post-punk guitars (courtesy of Stolen Nova) and a touch of pop drumming (courtesy of Oliver Cooper). “Being in the pool with all the skaters while hearing the crowd sing along was how I knew this was going to be special,” they say about the Gus Black-directed music video. “I was fighting back some manly tears the entire shoot. Seriously, it couldn’t have been more perfect.” With a song like “BE WITH YOU,” it’s only a matter of time before Black Polish rightfully breaks through.
