Bon Iver Announce International Listening Parties for Forthcoming Album

Bon Iver announced on Monday that listening parties for their forthcoming, autumn-themed album will be held in 61 select locations around the world on Wednesday, Aug. 7.

The indie experimental-folk group, led by songwriting mastermind Justin Vernon, announced last month that their fourth full-length studio LP, i,i , will be released on Aug. 30 via Jagjaguwar.

This Wednesday, fans in North America, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand will all be able to hear the band’s new tracks before their official release. Admission to these listening parties is free, and according to a press release, a limited number of two-track flexi discs will be available at each event.

For more information on the listening parties and their official, individual Facebook events, Bon Iver are directing fans to a site titled icommai.

In the meantime, we can listen to the four dynamic tracks Bon Iver have already blessed us with that will appear on i,i: “Hey, Ma,” “U (Man Like),” “Faith” and “Jelmore.”

The album will feature contributions from James Blake, Brad and Phil Cook, Aaron and Bryce Dessner, Bruce Hornsby, Channy Leaneagh, Velvet Negroni, Marta Salogni, Francis Starlite, Moses Sumney, TU Dance, new band member Jenn Wasner (Flock of Dimes) and more, making it a release many are awaiting with anticipation.

In June, Bon Iver announced an extensive fall international tour. A mini-documentary titled Autumn depicting the band’s tour preparation arrived in late July.
