Bon Iver to Play New Album Live on Friday, Teases Artwork on Social Media

Music News Bon Iver

It’s true: Bon Iver have a new album around the corner, and the band will be playing it live this Friday at the Eaux Claires Art Festival, according to Pitchfork.

Justin Vernon, frontman of the group, said back in February that there would be new music for Eaux Claires, which is organized by Vernon with Aaron Dessner of The National, and which Bon Iver will be playing for the second year in a row. They played two still-unreleased songs at the festival in Vernon’s hometown last year, giving fans hope that more was on the way after the band went on an indefinite break in 2012.

The title and release date of the new album have yet to be officially announced, but the phrase “22 Days” has appeared all over Bon Iver’s social media accounts, and a mural done in the same style also depicting “22” was spotted on a corner in Brooklyn today.

A 22-second teaser titled “#22days” has been uploaded to YouTube, in which the autotuned words “it might be over soon” are repeated and Vernon’s vocals begin for a split second before the end of the clip. Watch the full teaser below, and find a picture of the mural in Brooklyn via Reddit underneath that.
