Calpurnia, Fronted by Stranger Things Star Finn Wolfhard, Sign to Royal Mountain Records

Vancouver, Canada quartet Calpurnia came together when Finn Wolfhard and drummer Malcolm Craig happened to meet on the set of a music video shoot. They hit it off right away, with guitarist Ayla Tesler-Mabe and bassist Jack Anderson later getting in on the act. Now, Calpurnia have signed to Royal Mountain Records (Mac Demarco, Alvvays, PUP), and are set to record their debut EP with Twin Peaks guitarist Cadien Lake James, targeting a 2018 release.

Wolfhard, best known for his performances in Stranger Things and IT, said in a statement:

It is so sweet that we have such a good team at Royal Mountain Records. I love everyone on it. I’m extremely excited to record our EP with Cadien Lake James. Not only is he in one of my favorite bands of all time, and recorded some of my favorite songs, but he is also the sweetest guy ever. Thanks everyone so much who helped us out along the way, it means the world. <3
