On April 27th, NYC rocker CUP (aka Tym Wojcik) will release his latest album Jitter Visions via the always reliable Aagoo Records. Like previous releases, it’s a blast of wiry post-punk doled out in jagged, glammy shards. And to whet our appetite for this new record, Wojcik is sharing with us the video for “Magic Planet.” Here’s what he had to say about the clip and the song:
Magic Planet is about the specter of something always floating above you, near you, in this case manifested by a menacing and murderous little planet. It follows you wherever you go, it circles around you when you stop moving. We all have our own little Magic Planets, and often there’s nothing you can do about them. But I think it’s important to acknowledge them and be aware of them.
