“Celebrating David Bowie” Reveals Special Guests for North American Tour

“Celebrating David Bowie” has announced the special guests for its upcoming North American tour.

The initial list of special guests for the 27-date tour includes Evan Rachel Wood, Joe Sumner, Mr Hudson, Corey Glover, David Liebman, Fantastic Negrito, Mark Plati, Mr Hudson and Sass Jordan.

The “Celebrating David Bowie” band will feature integral members of David Bowie’s bands, including Mike Garson (keys), Earl Slick (guitar), Gerry Leonard (guitar) and Carmine Rojas (bass), along with vocalist Bernard Fowler, who is known for his work with The Rolling Stones, and 2017 Grammy nominee, vocalist Gaby Moreno.

Garson was Bowie’s longest and most regular band member, having performed together for both David’s first and last concerts in the United States, as well as 1,000 concerts around the world.

Glover, the founding lead singer of The Living Colour, will be performing in Silver Spring, Philadelphia, New York and Albany. Sax legend Liebman will be performing at the New York City show. Emmy- and Golden Globe-nominated actress Wood will be appearing at the Las Vegas and Los Angeles shows. Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Fantastic Negrito will be joining the band in Los Angeles. Fiction Plane singer/songwriter (and son of Sting) Sumner will be performing in Silver Spring, Philadelphia, New York, Los Angeles, Mesa, Tucson, Seattle, Portland, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Clearwater, Atlanta and New Orleans.

Bowie band member Plati will be joining the band for shows in New York, Boston, Montreal, Toronto, Detroit, Minneapolis, Milwaukee and Chicago. British singer/songwriter and producer Mr Hudson will be appearing in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Santa Rosa, San Diego, Mesa, Tucson, Seattle, Portland, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Clearwater, Atlanta and New Orleans. Canadian singer/songwriter Jordan is set to appear at the Toronto show.

This rotating group of world-class multi-instrumentalists will perform a show highlighting elements that influenced Bowie and that, in turn, Bowie influenced: pop-culture experimentation, art, fashion, science and futurism.

The tour will launch on Feb. 10 in Silver Spring, Md., the city where Bowie first set foot in the U.S. when entering the country in September of 1971.
