David Lynch Dedicates Latest Episode of Twin Peaks: The Return to David Bowie

Warning: Minor Twin Peaks: The Return spoilers ahead.

Even in death, David Bowie continues to steal the scene. In the latest episode of Twin Peaks: The Return, which was dedicated to the Starman, creator David Lynch decided to include Bowie’s Fire Walk With Me character, FBI Agent Phillip Jeffries, using archival footage.

As Harry Goaz, who plays Deputy Andy Brennan, told Dallas News, Bowie was slated to reprise his role on the show before his death in early 2016. Instead of recasting Jeffries, Lynch decided to feature Bowie in The Return in a black-and-white dream sequence that also features Kyle McLachlan and Miguel Ferrer. Ferrer died almost exactly a year after Bowie, but filmed his scenes in The Return prior to his death.

Watch the scene Lynch repurposed to incorporate Bowie below, and enjoy a Bowie performance from the Paste Cloud further down.
