Death Cab for Cutie Share “Black Sun” Lyric Video, Announce Tour

In preparation for their recently-announced forthcoming LP Kitsungi, Death Cab for Cutie have released the lyric video for the record’s first single, “Black Sun.”

Kitsungi will be the band’s first record since the departure of pivotal member Chris Walla, but “Black Sun” actually sounds like a band rejuvenated, taking new risks while remaining largely true to the sound that longtime fans have come to know and love. The video scrolls through mountainous winter regions as the song weaves in and out of soft electronic programming and risky, funk-laden distorted guitars, somewhat mimicking the icy terrain the video displays.

In addition to sharing the lyric video, Death Cab announced a Spring world tour, featuring support from the Antlers on many stops.
