Gorillaz to Play First Show Since 2010 at Demon Dayz Festival

Gorillaz will perform their first show since 2010 at their own festival, Demon Dayz. Taking place on June 10, the performance will be broadcast live by Red Bull TV. The single-day festival will take place in Margate, England, in the recently restored Dreamland amusement park—free admission to the park rides is included in the festival ticket.

Gorillaz has been teasing a new album (the first since 2011’s The Fall) for a while now. In January, we got the first taste of the forthcoming album with the political song “Hallelujah Money,” which Paste described as “beautiful and terrifying.” Perhaps the show at Demon Dayz is an indicator that we may be getting a summer album release.

The rest of the lineup for Demon Dayz has yet to be announced, but really, what more do you need to know? Gorillaz are performing their first show in seven years.
