Music often soundtracks a relationship, but when things don’t work out, those songs can be tinged with a indelible sense of heartache. On Peach Kelli Pop’s song “Heart Eyes,” band leader Allie Hanlon dreams of the halcyon days when she and her love were still together. Over bubble-gum power chords Hanlon sings, “listening to the songs that remind me of the days / that we had together before you went away.” The band’s sound is sort of like a distant memory of a fun day on the beach.
