James Blake Shares New Music Video, “Can’t Believe the Way We Flow”

James Blake shared a vivid, picturesque music video for his highly streamed love song, “Can’t Believe the Way We Flow” on Wednesday.

The track was featured on Blake’s R&B, indie and electronic-infused fourth album, Assume Form, released in January.

In its many flashing images, the video serves as an ode to human relationships, including diverse couples, and captures scenes of multiple types of bonds between two people.

The video opens with Blake sitting by a street writing in a notebook, then shows visuals of “30 real-life couples,” according to a press release, and “elaborates on the song’s story about love and relationships in their many shapes and forms.”

Directed and edited by London-based filmmaker Frank Lebon, “Can’t Believe the Way We Flow” was shot over six days in England’s capital city.

Blake recently shared music videos for other tracks off Assume Form, including “Barefoot in The Park” featuring Rosalía in April and “Mile High” featuring Travis Scott in February.

He also released a short film and made his daytime American television debut on Ellen with a performance of “I’ll Come Too” in May.

Blake is currently on tour in Europe and will play sets at several notable international festivals, such as Philadelphia’s Made in America festival later this month and Austin City Limits in October.
