JAY-Z to Hold Listening Parties Across the Country for Latest Album

So, those “4:44” ads actually were teasing new JAY-Z music, after all. As suspected, 4:44 is the title of JAY-Z’s most recent record. In an effort to make the experience more communal, the rapper will hold listening parties across the country.

The parties will take place in Sprint stores, continuing the first collaborative project since Tidal and Sprint became partners. Locations include Los Angeles, Atlanta and New York. A full list of listening party locations can be found here.

The rapper (who recently changed his named—sort of—from Jay Z) began teasing his album’s release with un-clickable “4:44” ads on music sites, but then threw fans off the trail with what appeared to be a trailer for a boxing film starring Mahershala Ali, Lupita Nyong’o and Danny Glover that aired during the NBA Finals. JAY-Z, who just had twins with Beyoncé, confirmed last week that the ads are indeed for his latest project, which comes four years after his last release, Magna Carta Holy Grail.

4:44 will be available exclusively to Tidal and Sprint customers on June 30. Find Paste’s picks for the 10 best JAY-Z songs here.
