Jim James and Angel Olsen have teamed up yet again on their new duet version of James’ “Over and Over,” streaming exclusively on Amazon Music.
The two paired up on multiple occasions earlier this year, covering Sonny & Cher at Festival of Disruption back in May and later performing a few of Olsen’s originals at the Newport Folk Festival in July.
“Over and Over” is taken from both James’ Uniform Destruction and Uniform Clarity albums, and is a drastically scaled-back performance of the track. In it, the two vocalists are never quite in sync, allowing each artist’s signature vocals to shine through. It’s an unrestrained, raw version of the song when compared to either of the already released solo versions.
