Julien Baker Cancels Upcoming Tour Dates Due to “Ongoing Medical Issues”

Singer-songwriter Julien Baker has canceled all of her upcoming European festival and headlining tour dates due to ongoing medical issues, a statement by Haldern Pop Fest confirms.

Germany’s Haldern and Norway’s Øya Festival announced the cancellation Monday in separate Facebook posts, writing that the musician “will be cancelling all currently planned live shows.” The musician has yet to announce the cancellations on her own terms.

This isn’t the first time the musician has canceled dates this year due to unforeseen medical or personal concerns: The musician recently shared word of the cancellation of her July 30 performance at Austin City Limits due to “unforeseen medical circumstances” and axed part of her February international tour due to “personal matters” earlier this year.

Something must be in the waters this summer: In early July, Baker’s peer and boygenius bandmate Lucy Dacus canceled her European tour due to an unspecified injury.

Baker recently contributed a cover of Frightened Rabbit’s “Modern Leper” to the band’s Tiny Changes anniversary record.

Paste has reached out to reps for Baker for more information on the cancellations and will update this post with any we receive.
