It’s been three years since we last received a new Lucy Dacus album, but the wait is finally over. The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter has announced her much-anticipated follow-up to Home Video: Forever is a Feeling, due out March 28 via Geffen Records. The LP, Dacus’ fifth, marks her first release of new music since boygenius’ award-winning debut album in 2023, and it will feature contributions from some familiar names, including Hozier, Bartees Strange, Blake Mills, Madison Cunningham, Melina Duterte (Jay Som), Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker.
With a guest list that deep, it should come as no surprise that Dacus’ new singles are great. “Ankles” is the marquee drop, but don’t sleep on the very sweet “Limerence.” “I got kicked in the head with emotions,” Dacus said in a press release. “Falling in love, falling out of love. You have to destroy things in order to create things. And I did destroy a really beautiful life. You can’t actually capture forever. But I think we feel forever in moments. I don’t know how much time I’ve spent in forever, but I know I’ve visited.”
You can watch the music video for “Ankles” below. Dacus has plans on hitting the road in April, with Katie Gavin and jasmine.4.t accompanying her on those dates, which you can find below, as well.
