Olivia Rodrigo announces Unraveled Tour ahead of SNL appearance

Ahead of the release of her third album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, in June, Olivia Rodrigo has unveiled a string of North American and European tour dates that will run from this September through next May. Presale begins Tuesday, May 5 and general tickets go on sale two days later at 12 p.m. local time. The ‘Unraveled’ tour features support slots from Wolf Alice, Devon Again, The Last Dinner Party, Grace Ives, and Die Spitz. 

Not only did Paste enjoy Rodrigo’s last album, GUTS, but we’re big fans of these openers. Last year, we named Die Spitz the Best of What’s Next, with editor Matt Mitchell calling them “one of the best live acts in Austin.” Likewise, Wolf Alice and The Last Dinner Party have been steadily on this website’s radar. Ives’ new album, Girlfriend, received a Paste Pick designation. Contributor Grant Sharples wrote, “Rather than explicating all of her regrettable decisions in a boring straight line, [Ives] takes thrilling detours to form a jagged, pinballing trajectory that’s the sonic equivalent of a hallucinogenic reverie.”

This weekend, Rodrigo returns to Saturday Night Live as a first-time host and third-time musical guest. So far, Rodrigo has only released one single from her forthcoming record, the whimsical and pastel-hued “drop dead,” which is currently the #1 song in America. Here’s hoping that—in the spirit of the live debut of “good 4 u” during her very first SNL appearance—she’ll premiere another you seem pretty sad… track this Saturday.
