Preceding the release of their sixth album this Friday, June 9, Phoenix have premiered a short film, Ti Amo Speciale, via Apple Music.
The film, directed by Warren Fu, is set on a fictional Italian talk show on which the band serves as a musical guest. The concept was originally introduced in the “J-Boy” music video.
The ironically amusing film features a mock interview and performances of the singles “J-Boy,” “Ti Amo” and “Goodbye Soleil” for an interesting look into the aesthetic behind the new album.
