Video Premiere: Shana Falana – “Heavenstay”

It was four years between Shana Falana’s debut EP In Light and the release of her full-length, but the dream-pop musician wasn’t silent. Touring extensively, releasing material via BandCamp and cassette, and constantly recording new ideas culminated in the circumstances that brought about her debut full-length Entitled Set Your Lightning Fire Free, the album was recorded in upstate New York at ISOKON Studios with producer Dan Goodwin (Devo, Kaki King). Falana had been refining the compositions gradually over the years, so the recording process was a smooth and a relatively quick one. Now, Falana has released a visual to accompany album track “Heavenstay.” Check out the video in the player above. Set Your Lightning Fire Free is out now.
