As Sia’s career has grown, her persona has shrunk. Fame can be crushing. Everyone from Kanye to Britney knows that. Starting in 2010, Sia began to recede her person from the limelight, just as her career was hitting new peaks.
In a trilogy of music videos (including the “instant classic “Chandelier), and on numerous TV appearances in support of 2014’s 1000 Forms of Fear, Sia directed the viewer’s gaze toward child dancer Maddie Ziegler. With a new album to promote, Sia has once again enlisted Ziegler to distract us with her limber leaps, wide eyes, sinuous struts and Sia wig.
