Warm-hearted Celtic session among friends

“For I’ve made many friends there / On every green mile / And the folk always greet me / With a wave and a smile,” sings John Sherman as Ohio-based quartet Silver Arm winds its way down “The Road to Drumleman,” a classic evocation of quiet joys. The four lead their listeners through songs, reels, jigs and polkas, Celtic tunes learned from books and sessions, a seafaring tale from Newfoundland and a jig written by a Swede. It’s a lively, informal sharing of the spirit of music and friendship.
