SZA Temporarily Removed from TDE Championship Tour After Vocal Cord Injury

In a statement on Instagram, Top Dawg Entertainment CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith announced that R&B singer SZA has been temporarily removed from the TDE Championship Tour due to an injury to her vocal cords.

“Her vocal cords are swollen and she have to rest her voice to avoid any permanent damage,” Tiffith said in the statement.

The tour began in May and will continue through mid-June, concluding in PIttsburgh, Pa. SZA is accompanied on tour by fellow Top Dawg signees Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, SiR and Lance Skiiwalker.

SZA previously missed the Arizona and New Mexico stops on the tour. Tiffith did not indicate when she will return, instead stating that he will update fans after the singer sees a doctor “in a few days.”

“As for the dates she missed, we’ll figure out a way to make it up to you guys,” said Tiffith.
