Great Britain is always hungry to tout its latest irrepressible rock savior, and The Sherlocks are here to oblige. The foursome, consisting of two sets of brothers—Kiaran and Brandon Crook, and Andy and Josh Davidson—introduced themselves with debut single “Live for the Moment” in 2014, followed by “Escapade” and “Heart of Gold” in 2015. From there, they became the first unsigned band since Arctic Monkeys to sell out their local venue, the Sheffield Leadmill. The Sherlocks, who have drawn predictable comparisons to forebears like The Jam, The Clash and Arctic Monkeys, meet the hype with a controlled chaos, garage guitars and big drums underpinning Kiaran Crook’s vocals and some sun-dappled harmonies.

The Sherlocks released their debut LP, Live for the Moment, on Aug. 18, with singles “Will You Be There” and “Was It Really Worth It?” leading it to No. 6 on the UK charts. The quartet have some U.S. dates left on their current tour, then will circle back to the U.K. for a victory lap. You can find those dates here.
