Listen to Thee Oh Sees’ New Creeping Then Crashing Song “The Axis”

On Aug. 12, San Franciscan psychotic garage rock band Thee Oh Sees will return with their latest studio album, A Weird Exits on Castle Face Records.

They’ve shared two tracks so far, and have now bestowed upon us the album’s closer, “The Axis” via The Fader.

For awhile, the track glides at slow pace, anchored by a steady drum beat, a floating bed of organ drone and a loose guitar lick.

However, this peaceful pace doesn’t last long. As a glorious guitar solo begins to bloom out of the track, glitchy blips and noise soon crawl over and eventually swallow the instrument like mold on fruit.

Thee Oh Sees just finished a few summer dates and will emerge for more starting on July 30 and going through November. Find those dates along with audio for “The Axis” below.
