On Tuesday night, Thom Yorke played a solo show at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, performing a number of new and unreleased songs. New tunes included “I’m a Very Rude Person,” which was caught on video, and another called “Saturdays.” The Radiohead frontman also played unreleased rarity “Two Feet Off the Ground,” making the song’s live debut (per CoS).
Earlier this month, Yorke made his solo albums available on Spotify for the very first time. In 2013, after he and longtime collaborator Nigel Godrich pulled their music from the service, Yorke famously likened Spotify to “the last desperate fart of a dying corpse,” a quote that we can only hope adorns the walls of a Spotify office somewhere.
Yorke’s sparse upcoming tour slate includes a show tonight at the Fox Theater in Oakland, Calif., followed by a set at Houston’s Day For Night Festival this Sunday, Dec. 17. He recently reissued his 2014 sophomore solo album Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes via XL Recordings.
