This year, it seems that Radiohead’s Thom Yorke is staying busy—in addition to an OK Computer re-release, the band just wrapped up a U.S. tour and has some European tour dates coming up. Yorke also has a new side project in the works—a soundtrack for the remake of 1977 horror film Suspiria. This will be the Radiohead frontman’s first film score.
The project, backed by Amazon Studios, features a terrific cast including Tilda Swinton, Dakota Johnson and Chloe Grace Moretz. The project’s director, Luca Guadigno, said in a statement published by Pitchfork:
Thom’s art transcends the contemporary. To have the privilege of his music and sound for Suspiria is a dream come true. The depth of his creation and artistic vision is so unique that our Suspiria will sound groundbreaking and will deeply resonate with viewers. Our goal is to make a movie that will be a disturbing and transforming experience: for this ambition, we could not find a better partner than Thom.
