Watch Weyes Blood Perform “Everyday” on Late Night with Seth Meyers

Weyes Blood, aka Natalie Mering, made her late-night television debut Tuesday night on Late Night with Seth Meyers.

The indie singer-songwriter performed “Everyday,” a standout from her fourth full-length studio LP, Titanic Rising, released in April 2019 via Sub Pop.

Titanic Rising has been met with much critical acclaim since its release, and spawned the highly streamed singles, “Andromeda,” “Movies” and “A Lot’s Gonna Change.” We recently ranked the album as 2019’s best (so far).

With her signature blend of nostalgic melodies, baroque pop, ambient and folk sounds, Weyes Blood serenaded Meyers’ audience alongside a backing band. She showed her strength in vulnerable lyricism about love and loss with plenty of metaphors.

“Fell so hard like I always do / I’m so scared of being alone / It’s true, it’s true,” she sang while swaying to the beat. “Sailing off on the ships to nowhere / got a lot of things to clear away / got a lot of years of bad love to make okay.”

Watch Weyes Blood’s late-night TV debut below and revisit her 2015 Daytrotter Session further down. She’ll soon be embarking on her Something to Believe Tour—you can find those dates here.
