Trump Gaslights UN Climate Change Report, Says Everything is “Fabulous”

Outside the White House Tuesday night, Trump reassured Americans that there’s nothing to worry about when it comes to climate change. Per Business Insider, reporters asked Trump about the UN’s climate change report, wich warned that the world only has about 12 years to curb the effects of climate change.

In response, Trump said he wants to “look at who drew it. You know, which group drew it,” and added that “I can give you reports that are fabulous.”

Needless to say, he didn’t give anyone any fabulous reports, nor did he let anyone “look at who drew it.”

For the record, the UN’s report was conducted by “91 authors across 40 countries,” with no less than “6,000 scientific references.” This group of scientists is known as the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, a direct arm of the United Nations. The President seemed to have no inclination of the group’s existence.

He thinks climate change is a hoax, a fact evidenced when he withdrew the U.S. from the Paris Climate Accords and issued calls to revitalize the coal industry. Trump says he’ll look at the report; we’ll see if he does anything with it.
