Kansas City Wins NWSL Championship with Two Goals from Rodriguez

FC Kansas City are your 2014 National Women’s Soccer League victors, after beating Seattle Reign 2-1 in the championship game.

Two great runs from KC’s Lauren Holiday—one direct and one weaving through defenders— ended with two goals from Amy Rodriguez.

Megan Rapinoe pulled one back for Seattle, and NWSL MVP Kim Little launched multiple strikes at Nicole Barnhardt in the KC goal, but KC held on to claim the title.
