Kids (Or Short Adults) Can Now Dress Like North West with Balmain’s Kids Line

Style News

The #BalmainArmy is coming for your children.

Olivier Rousteing, fashion god and Kendall and Kim’s BFF, announced this week that Balmain will be releasing a kids line. According to WWD, the 55-piece line made for boys and girls ages six to 14 will launch in June and will be produced in-house. The collection is inspired by the same stuff Rousteing sends down the runway.

“These are the same looks that, over the years, moms and dads have repeatedly pleaded with me to produce for their kids,” he said.

You know that T-shirt your son spilled grape juice all over last week? Well, now it costs $205. Yep, prices range from the aforementioned patterned T-shirt to a $5,950 embroidered black dress. But you can’t really put a price on your child’s ability to make the other kids on the playground feel bad about their clothes.

The line was, of course, inspired by the Chosen One, she of the cardinal directions.

“I think I first thought about designing kidswear when I dressed North,” Rousteing tells Vogue. “I had a conversation with Kim, and that was the beginning of how I really understood that the Balmain universe can also belong to kids.”

We expect, much like Balmain’s H&M collab , this new line won’t be around for long, so if your kid considers North West a style icon (and why wouldn’t they?) then tell them to start stuffing the piggy bank now.
