Reservations for Disney World’s Immersive Star Wars Hotel Will Open Up This Year

Get yourself ready for some more of those Star Wars. Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, the previously announced hotel coming to Disney World, is still on track for a 2021 opening. Don’t expect a typical hotel, though: it’ll operate more like a cruise reservation, where you book a two-day and two-night experience that aims to thoroughly immerse you in the world of Star Wars. And although the opening date hasn’t been announced, Disney did reveal today that reservations for the Starcruiser will be opening in 2020. So if you ever wanted to spend the night in space, start saving your credits for when those reservations go live.

Disney also released a new video today that goes into more detail about what you can expect aboard the Galactic Starcruiser. None of it is new information, but Ann Morrow Johnson, an executive producer with Walt Disney Imagineering, does explain it in a clear and easy to understand way. From tours of the bridge, to Jedi training, to a “planet excursion” to Batuu, the land that Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is based in, the Starcruiser seems poised to take the immersive qualities of Galaxy’s Edge to an entirely new level.
