Carrie Coon Cast as Season Three Regular on Fargo

TV News Fargo

The Leftovers’ Carrie Coon is set to star opposite the previously cast Ewan McGregor in the third season of FX’s award-winning anthology series Fargo, TVLine reports. Coon will play Gloria Burgle, the chief of the Eden Valley police and a newly divorced mother.

McGregor is to play the dual role of Emmit and Ray Stussy, a pair of brothers whose similarities stop at their looks. Emmit is a confident real estate tycoon while Ray is an unattractive parole officer who blames his brother for his problems.

Season three of the Coen Brothers film-inspired series will be set in 2010, quite a leap from season two, which was set in 1979.

Filming on the new season will start later this year, and episodes will air in early 2017.
