Carrie Coon Cast as Season Three Regular on Fargo
Photo by Mark Davis/GettyThe Leftovers’ Carrie Coon is set to star opposite the previously cast Ewan McGregor in the third season of FX’s award-winning anthology series Fargo, TVLine reports. Coon will play Gloria Burgle, the chief of the Eden Valley police and a newly divorced mother.
McGregor is to play the dual role of Emmit and Ray Stussy, a pair of brothers whose similarities stop at their looks. Emmit is a confident real estate tycoon while Ray is an unattractive parole officer who blames his brother for his problems.
Season three of the Coen Brothers film-inspired series will be set in 2010, quite a leap from season two, which was set in 1979.
Filming on the new season will start later this year, and episodes will air in early 2017.
