Lebron James is Making a Cleveland TV Show, of Course

TV News LeBron James

Lebron James loves Cleveland so much he’s decided to make a TV show about it. NBC has given a script commitment to a new comedy from Lebron James and Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence titled There Goes the Neighborhood, Deadline reports.

The show will be written by Community executive producers Neil Goldman and Garrett Donovan, alongside actor and writer Ron Funches. Set in Cleveland, There Goes the Neighborhood is about the first white family to move into a predominantly black neighborhood that is being gentrified.

James, of course, was born and raised in Ohio, and is currently playing basketball for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Lawrence, Goldman and Donovan all worked together on Scrubs, so There Goes the Neighborhood marks something of a reunion for the trio. Whether basketball will play any role in the show remains to be seen, but if James is involved, it’s probably not a bad bet.
