In addition to MTV Classic bringing the 90’s back, Rocko’s Modern Life is going to be on Nickelodeon again.

According to Entertainment Weekly, a TV movie of Rocko’s Modern Life has been greenlit by Nickelodeon. The announcement was made yesterday, on Nicktoons’ 25th anniversary.

Rocko’s Modern Life was the fourth Nicktoons show, following Doug, Rugrats and The Ren & Stimpy Show. It was broadcast for four seasons from 1993 to 1996.

The hour-long special will bring back all of the characters from the show, including Rocko, Spunky, Heffer, Filburt, and Mr. and Mrs. Bighead. Joe Murray, who created the series, will executive-produce and co-direct the film.

“I’m very happy to be rejoining Rocko and my friends from O-Town again,” said Murray to EW. “What I have found by bringing these characters back is that it’s not so much about nostalgia, but a sense that they still feel relevant and fresh to me, and after 20 years, they can’t wait to comment on modern life in the 21st century. They still have a lot to say.”

Nickelodeon is revising other classics like the game show Legends of the Hidden Temple and Hey Arnold!, which will premiere as movies in the fall and in 2017, respectively.

“It’s a testament to the strength and appeal of these characters that so many people have loved Nick animation for these last 25 years, and we are excited to bring them back for new stories and adventures,” said Chris Viscardi of Nickelodeon.
