Fans of the Netflix-produced paranormal drama The OA now have a mysterious promo for season two to add flavor to their Wednesday. The show boasts Brad Pitt as an executive producer, not to mention Brit Marling, The Walking Dead’s Scott Wilson, the Harry Potter films’ Jason Isaacs and The Office’s Phyllis Smith as actors. The enigmatic new promo doesn’t give us too much to work with, but fans will doubtless have theories in the works about the promo’s rising steam.
The first season of The OA, released unannounced eight weeks ago, earned Paste’s attention for its unconventional storytelling and exposition. The first season, indeed, was largely taken up with a drawn-out exposition of a fragmentary, neo-Gnostic reality. With exposition out of the way, it will be interesting to see what direction season two finds.
