The second season of Victoria will not disappoint fans. While she is the queen, she must now adapt to the role of mother—and it’s not an easy transition. Season Two sees the monarch follow the long, hard road of many working mothers, albeit with all kids of help and endless money, as she tries to maintain the control and independence she always craved as a child in Kensington Palace.
The series deals with family relationships, but more importantly the roles that women, even queens, have to balance. There is pressure from outside forces, and pressure from her own spirit.
Victoria is a royal masterpiece.
