Carrie Mathison is OUT OF HER MIND!
That’s not the official tag-line of Homeland’s fifth season, but it might be if this were a zany comedy instead of a serious drama. Mathison, played by the great Claire Danes, won’t listen to Saul or anybody else who tells her to chill out and stop taking insane risks. In the first trailer for season five, we see her fighting hard for justice, and getting in a lot of hot water along the way. We already know that the show is skipping ahead two and a half years, Carrie is no longer an intelligence officer, and that large parts of the action will be filmed in Germany. This sheds some light on how the season will look, and though we’ll undoubtedly learn more this summer, this should be enough to drum up the anticipation.
