According to a tweet this morning from Notch, the sole creator of indie game Minecraft, the popular progressive electronic music producer deadmau5 will be performing at MineCon's finale party. Although deadmau5 definitely has a history with video game culture, the announcement is still rather surprising considering that Minecraft is an independently developed and published game. read more

The open-world sandbox game, Minecraft, which had officially been green-lit to come to the Xbox Live Arcade in July, has now officially been delayed until Spring 2012. According to a tweet from Microsoft Games producer, Stuart Platt, “Minecraft for Xbox 360 will launch in Spring 2012. No dates yet. Don't expect to hear a date until next year". The port of the popular indie game is being developed by 4J Studios, who previously ported both Banjo-Kazooie and Perfect Dark to XBLA. read more
