Two comedy titans are teaming up for a stand-up tour: Dave Chappelle and Jon Stewart announced Monday morning that they’ll share stages in Boston, Houston and El Paso for a limited, seven-date run of exclusive shows this June.
Chappelle and Stewart last performed together at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall in August of 2017, during Chappelle’s residency at the storied Manhattan venue. Chappelle recently released his third and fourth Netflix specials, Equanimity and The Bird Revelation. His first pair of Netflix specials, The Age Of Spin and Deep In The Heart Of Texas, took home a Grammy for best comedy album in January. Stewart, meanwhile, announced his return to stand-up last summer, comprising two HBO specials as part of his exclusive deal with the pay-cable channel. The comedian has been relatively quiet after departing The Daily Show in 2015, but nonetheless retains the star power to share a bill with Chappelle.
