The Welcome To Daytrotter tag that Malcolm Holcomb taped for us a number of years ago has the old boy talking about liking to stare into a black cup of coffee. He then quickly warns, “But don’t stare at it too long. It’ll consume you.” It feels like a conversation that we could and maybe do have — without knowing it — with The Kernal and His New Strangers.
