We know have our first taste of Titanfall 2, although that’s just about all we have.
The brief teaser trailer above, released today by EA, offers us a cryptic glimpse of the sequel to Respawn Entertainment’s excellent multiplayer mech shooter. “People like you always want to be the hero,” intones a raspy, almost Idris Elba-like voice at the teaser’s outset. “The problem with being a hero is, you have to be willing to die for what you believe in.” Challenge accepted, voice.
The mysterious clip reveals next to nothing about the game, aside from the apparent, badass addition of mech swords, the dramatic reveal of which is easily the highlight of the teaser. We do know that Titanfall 2 will be multiplatform, coming to Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4, unlike its predecessor, which was an Xbox exclusive.
Watch the teaser above, and mark your calendars: the worldwide reveal of Titanfall 2’s first gameplay trailer is set for June 12.
