Scroll down for five new albums to stream on this New Music Friday.

1. Emily Yacina: Remember the Silver

New York-based DIY singer-songwriter and frequent (Sandy) Alex G collaborator Emily Yacina has shared her studio debut, Remember the Silver. Each of Remember the Silver’s singles have a different vibe: “Gleaming” glides from choppy to ethereal, while “Bleachers” was loping and melancholy. Listening to “Arcades & Highways” is like being wrapped up in a warm cocoon: “I need you to swallow me,” Yacina duets with guest vocalist Rachel Levy, and it feels an embrace. —Amanda Gersten

2. Georgia Maq: Pleaser

Camp Cope singer and guitarist Georgia Maq (nee Georgia McDonald) has delivered a very pleasant surprise this past Thursday morning: Her debut solo record Pleaser, now streaming everywhere and available for physical preorder via Run For Cover Records. Maq, Kelly-Dawn Hellmrich and Sarah Thompson released their sophomore studio album How to Socialise and Make Friends in 2018, earning a spot on Paste’s list of the year’s best records. Unlike the Melbourne trio’s politically charged, garage-friendly indie rock, Pleaser finds Maq expanding into synth-based indie-pop territory, crooning hypnotically about matters of the heart over thumping drum machines and electronic soundscapes, with nary a guitar to be found except on the album’s opener, “Away From Love.” —Scott Russell

3. IDLES: A Beautiful Thing: IDLES Live at Le Bataclan

Bristol punk outfit IDLES have shared their first live album today, which was recorded live at Le Bataclan in Paris in December 2018. The album, titled A Beautiful Thing, is available via limited colored double LP, CD and download. “Our show at Bataclan was the end of a very long journey for us,” frontman Joe Talbot says. “On that tour we learnt so much about ourselves, each other and the audiences we have grown with over the past 10 years. That show was nothing short of catharsis and nothing more than love. We love what we do and the people who have carried us here, there was no hiding that at Bataclan and we are so very grateful that the moment was captured in all its glory, love and fatigue. Long live the open minded and long live the moment.” —Lizzie Manno
