Academy Award nominee Rosamund Pike breathes life into Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility in a new audiobook narration, which Audible exclusively released today. The novel follows heroines Marianne and Elinor as they “navigate through a life where status and money govern the rules of love.”
Pike, who starred in the 2005 film adaptation of Pride and Prejudice as Jane Bennet, also narrated the novel of the same name for Audible in 2015. She makes it clear that she adores Austen’s writing in this exclusive behind-the-scenes video, highlighting the lasting power of Austen’s work:
Austen fans can also look forward to a full-cast dramatization of Emma in September, which will be led by Academy Award winner Emma Thompson. Thompson famously wrote the screenplay for and starred in the 1995 film adaptation of Sense and Sensibility, winning an Oscar for her screenplay.
