It was announced today that the hilarious odd couple buddy-comedy, Idiotsitter, has been renewed by Comedy Central for a second season. The comedy network has ordered a 10-episode sophomore season of the show, which stars Jillian Bell and Charlotte Newhouse, to premiere in 2017. The show was created by its co-stars, and is executive-produced by the duo as well as Pam Kohl, Amy Slomovits, Dave Becky, Brady McKay and John Levenstein.

Initially created as a web series for the Comedy Central website (though it is no longer available to stream online), Idiotsitter made a seamless transition to small screens earlier this year, making it the second CC series following 2015’s This Is Not Happening to do so.

The inaugural season of the show features Newhouse as Wilhelmina “Billie” Brown, a straight-and-narrow recent Ivy League grad trying to make ends meet in Los Angeles, who is forced to deal with the antics of woman-child Genevieve “Gene” Russell (Bell), the bratty, wild-child, fully grown daughter of two wealthy but oblivious parents, when she is misled into taken a “babysitting” job for the rich couple. Chaos ensues when the two women from completely different walks of life are forced to coexist as Billie hopeless tries to tame Gene while she’s on house arrest.

“We’re so excited to get to do this again,” said the two actresses about the renewal, revealing a little about plans for the plot of the upcoming season. “It’s literally the most fun we’ve ever had in our lives. Hopefully the new college atmosphere will broaden our minds and teach us how to butt chug.”
