Matt Groening Takes Us to the Past in First Disenchantment Teaser

After we got our first look at Matt Groening’s forthcoming Netflix show Disenchantment last month, the streaming service is teasing us some more with the show’s first teaser.

As the clip reminds us, each of Groening’s animated endeavors have taken place in a different time period, The Simpsons in the present, Futurama in the future and now Disenchantment will take us back to the medieval era, complete with “ogres, sprites, harpies, imps, trolls, walruses and lots of human fools.”

The teaser shows the trio of hard-drinking young princess Bean (Abbi Jacobson), her elf sidekick Elfo (Nat Faxon) and her personal demon Luci (Eric Andre), already getting themselves in trouble. Joined by a ton of familiar voices from Groening’s other shows like John DiMaggio, Billy West and Tress MacNeille, we are excited to see what misadventures are to come in the fictional “Dreamland.”

All 10 episodes of the first season will hit Netflix Aug. 17. Check out the first teaser below.
