Game of Thrones Creators Offer “Heartfelt Apology” for Sunday’s Episode

There was a single moment on last Sunday’s Game of Thrones episode that has now forced the world to look at the common practice of holding a door for another with a mix of melancholy and despair. However, the gravity of a certain character’s passing is instantly tarnished when reference-eager fans shout the the name as a replacement for that request.

Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss said they “should’ve seen this coming” and offered their “heartfelt apology” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night. Benioff and Weiss sat on a couch surrounded by piles of money as they did their best to convince fans of their regret. However, they made sure to state they are not sorry for killing (insert tragically lost character here).

“We kill a lot of main characters,” said Benioff calmly. “We’ve killed 739 characters so far,” added Weiss. The creators also stay true to the theme of their show with a deadly twist by the video’s end. Find out who makes it out alive above.
