It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia Gets a Season 12 Release Date

Comedy News It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia has been out of our lives for so long, its last episode aired when many believed that a guy named Bernie Sanders could still become president. Well, a lot has changed in the real world, but you can take some comfort in the fact that very little has on It’s Always Sunny. Deadline reported Monday that the show’s 12th season will debut on Jan. 4.

With less than two months to prepare, it’s probably wise to begin immediately, which of course means re-watching the show in its entirety. As for what may go on during season 12, details are still fairly scarce, but we do know the gang will visit a waterpark, and there’ll be an episode devoted to them tending bar for a full day. There will also be some kind of public relations disaster around Frank’s soft drink, Wolf Cola.

Reliable performer that it is, it seems unlikely that It’s Always Sunny will ever go off the air, which is perfect. The world may change, but Philadelphia stays the same.
