Why do white people think all black people know each other? Kevin Hart doesn’t get it. It’s not like they all meet at Oprah’s house to discuss black issues. In a segment on last night’s The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, bandleader Jon Batiste took over to introduce a PSA he created called “Hey, White People!”

In the PSA, we hear from black voices like Tituss Burgess (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), who’s curious about why white people are so hesitant to call out racism, instead choosing words like “racially tinged.” “What the hell does that mean?” Burgess asks.

We also hear from Samuel L. Jackson, who wonders how rich you have to be before people stop confusing you for a caddie on a golf course. He also wonders how much money Will Smith needed to forget The Legend of Bagger Vance. If we had to guess, it’s probably a considerable sum.

Black-ish’s Anthony Anderson also shows up, as does Michael K. Williams (The Wire), who gives us a sense of his skills as Hamlet. John Oliver even pops in to congratulate white people on what a great run they had.

Check out the full video above to find out how Batiste is working to heal the racial divide. In times of such bitterness, it’s important to listen to Kevin Hart talk about Oprah. It just is.
