Jon Glaser Loves Gear Gets Premiere Date, Guest Stars

Comedy News Jon Glaser

Jon Glaser, who you probably know as Councilman Jeremy Jamm from Parks and Recreation, or as Lena Dunham’s neighbor Laird on HBO’s Girls, or from his Adult Swim shows Delocated and Neon Joe, Werewolf Hunter, has a new show on the way, and it finally has a premiere date.

Jon Glaser Loves Gear will premiere on Oct. 26 at 10 p.m. on truTV with back-to-back episodes. There will also be a sneak peek for the show on Oct. 25 at 11 p.m. after The Adam Ruins Everything Election Special.

Glaser writes and stars in the comedy docu-series about his love of gear, presumably meaning the equipment required for different activities and hobbies, but his obsession with gear “continually threatens to derail the show, sending each episode spiraling off on deeply personal tangents.” That’s not much information to go on, but based on the guest stars listed for the show, he’ll be exploring activities like martial arts, bass fishing and hockey.

John Hodgman, Steve Cirbus (who also had roles in Delocated and Neon Joe), Miriam Tolan and Eva Solveig will have recurring roles on the show, and Janeane Garofalo, John Early, Jo Firestone, Peter Grosz and Robert Kelly, along with mixed martial artist Renzo Gracie, bass fishing champ Woo Daves, and former NHL All-Star and broadcaster Ron Duguay will guest star.

Watch Glaser talk about his show, as well as his “genuine, true passion for all things gear-related,” below.
