Los Espookys, HBO’s deliriously funny bilingual comedy, has been picked up for a second season, per THR. The Julio Torres-led show follows a group of horror aficionados/entrepreneurs who set up elaborate scenarios to unsettle and strong-arm clients into conclusions they might not otherwise reach themselves.
The show also stars Ana Fabrega, Bernardo Velasco, Cassandra Ciangherotti and Fred Armisen, who co-created the show with Torres and Fabrega. It’s produced by Lorne Michaels.
It’s a strange bird of a show, and it’s always great to see stronger Latinx representation on the screen. There’s no word yet on when Season Two will begin production or premiere, but stay tuned to Paste for more information on that end.
