Saturday Night Live breakout Pete Davidson is following in the footsteps of a small country’s worth of comedians by shooting a Netflix special, and the stand-up-saturated streamer has released the first trailer for Davidson’s Alive from New York.
The 26-year-old comic “is known for his unfiltered anecdotes, and he’s giving the audience more than what they asked for in his first Netflix original comedy special,” which was shot at New York’s Gramercy Theatre, per a press release.
The Alive from New York trailer is exactly what anyone familiar with Davidson would expect, though it stands out from your typical Netflix stand-up promo in that it showcases a single bit from the special (about Davidson’s experiences having gay male friends), rather than flipping through a few quick set-up/punchline combos like usual.
